Quartz Countertops

Engineered stone is a quartz based product mixed with resins to create a dense, non-porous material for kitchen or bathroom countertops that combines the look and feel of natural quartz with superior performance. An engineered stone kitchen or bathroom countertop requires little maintenance and offers greater heat, scratch and stain resistance than granite along with greater overall color consistency. Unlike granite, an engineered stone kitchen or bathroom countertop does not need to be sealed making it ideal for busy kitchens and bathrooms.

Pros: high hardness; heat, scratch & stain resistance; does not require sealing or maintenance; more color consisentency throughout; large color selection 

Cons: expensive; visible seams; can chip at edges and corners; not as natural a color look or feel as marble or granite
