The versatility of a kitchen range and stove makes it a requirement in every kitchen.  With options to cook in both the oven and the stove top, a wide “range” of cooking can be achieved through roasting, broiling and more.  And they are only getting smarter, with new models offering features that allow users to enter and save their favorite settings.  

A good starting place is to know what type of hook up you have.  There is a big difference between gas and electric and you need to know what you have and what is possible if you are considering a switch.  Beyond that, as with any appliance, it is important to know how much space you have for your range (typically 30” or 36” though some pro style models go even wider) and exactly where your range is going.
