My brother has been having his kitchen remodeled and it seems like we don’t talk as much as of late. The planning started very early this year and despite all the time and effort put into trying to prepare him for the kitchen remodeling process, the ups and downs of this emotional rollercoaster and the disruption it causes can stretch you to your limits.
What would The Soggy Bottom Boys say about kitchen remodeling?
The funny thing is, it’s communication that makes all the difference in a successful kitchen remodeling process. Mistakes happen. Damages occur. That’s just life happening. But how we deal with it, either by preparing someone for it or jumping right on it when it does happen, makes all the difference in a successful kitchen remodeling experience.
So, even though I am not directly involved in his remodel (he did use Reico though!), I’m going to call him. I don’t subscribe to the “no news is good news policy” in this business or in life. Best to find out what is going on and just deal with it from there.
George Clooney’s character Ulysses Everett McGill said, “Well, as soon as we get ourselves cleaned up and we get a little smellum in our hair, why, we're gonna feel 100% better about ourselves and about life in general.” I might pass on the smellum in my hair, but for sure I will feel better.
